Zed Filmworks Canada Inc., founded in 2007, is a Canadian owned and controlled media corporation. The company acquires, develops and produces feature film and television entertainment projects for the global marketplace.

Zed Filmworks has a simple philosophy. Our movies, TV shows and interactive programs must excite and entertain audiences. The company collaborates with some of the industry’s leading writers, artists, directors and producers to create exciting and engaging entertainment properties.

Robert Menzies

Robert Menzies has over twelve years experience in brand marketing and communications. His experience covers a wide range of digital media from Interactive applications to feature films and corporate communications strategy.

Robert was managing director of Spire Wired Inc, a new media company that focused on web and video production for an international client roster. In this capacity, Robert was awarded the Young Entrepreneur Award for Ontario by the Business Development Bank of Canada.

Recently, as partner in Zed Jamaica Inc, he produced documentaries for The Environmental Foundation of Jamaica and the World Bank (Trinidad) and full length features, including the documentary Vampiro: Angel, Devil, Hero, and the action film The Dead Sleep Easy.

Curtis Crawford

Curtis Crawford is a twenty year veteran of the Canadian television industry. For the last twelve years, Curtis was a principal shareholder and Executive Vice President of Development and Corporate Affairs of the successful Ottawa based television production company; Funbag Animation Studios.

During his time at Funbag he acquired, developed and produced a number of original television series for the Canadian and international media markets. Curtis has vast international experience in series television production, finance and distribution having worked in the industry as a producer and director in New York, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Paris and London.

Don Osborne

Don Osborne has spent the last dozen years as founder and director of a private corporation dealing extensively with various layers of provincial government. Don was directly involved with funding human resources, day to day operations and monitoring and maintaining government regulations and overseeing a staff of upwards of 60 people. Don has also spent 5 years as Clinical Director requiring highly developed people skills, assessment skills and management skills.

Most recently, Don has been able to apply these managerial skills directly to Zed Jamaica, an international new media company. In this capacity, Don has gained experience with the corporate media world, overseeing video production, TV commercials, and becoming directly involved in production of a training video series for the University of the West Indies.
